HSV-1 and HSV-2 Immunity

  • Ok so, I am trying to do research on this, i have had Herpes now for over a Year and had only 1 maybe 2 outbreaks. I have HSV-1 Only Genitally, but cannot find any information online that states whether or not you can catch BOTH strains in the same area. Basically if I have HSV-1 Genitally, and have unprotected sex with a Person who has HSV-2, will we give each other the strain we have? or with the Antibodies we have from the current strain fight off the infection?
